The Doucet BT3 Return Conveyor is a third-generation belt transfer return system designed to seamlessly integrate with medium to large-sized edgebanders. Built on a modular frame, the BT3 series enhances efficiency, productivity, and material handling in high-volume woodworking operations.

By incorporating a fast, simple, and highly effective belt transfer system, the BT3 automatically returns processed panels to the operator, eliminating the need for a second worker and reducing material handling time. This conveyor system is ideal for edgebanding applications, where continuous workflow and precise handling are critical for productivity.

Available in five roller length models (BT3-24, BT3-30, BT3-36, BT3-48, and BT3-60), the BT3 adapts to a range of panel sizes and edgebanding operations, making it an essential tool for woodworking shops looking to optimize efficiency.

Operating Principle

  1. Panel Detection & Transfer
    • As panels exit the edgebander, the receiving rollers detect the trailing end of the panel and initiate the transfer process.
  2. Side Transfer & Return Conveyor
    • Belt transfer system moves the panel to a set of motorized return rollers that are positioned 2 inches lower than the pass line to avoid panel overlap issues.
  3. Panel Reset for Continuous Operation
    • Once the panel has cleared the receiving area, the rollers return to their upper position, ready for the next panel.
